Or maybe Moriarty kills himself on that rooftop because he wants to finally not be alone. He thinks that Sherlock is going to die with him…. And even though Sherlock never does die, Moriarty dies thinking Sherlock has to go down with him. In his final moments, I wouldn’t be surprised if Moriarty is truly happy because he’s finally not alone.
