I am REALLY hoping they don’t try and make a connection between John Frobisher and the twelfth Doctor

It could very well ruin Children of Earth. The best element of the series was the humanity of the characters and John Frobisher was one of the best examples of this. Another great element that was touched on was the question of why the Doctor wasn’t there, which is why connecting the Doctor to the story has a huge possibility of ruining the whole point of it.

So I would be more than happy with no explanation of why they look the same.
