multilinguatastic-deactivated20:
The CDU/CSU (central right) party won 40-odd percent and may be looking at an absolute majority, so Merkel is going to stay chancellor
The FDP (liberal) their former coalition partner most likely got less than 5% and thereby got themselves kicked out of the Bundestag alltogether
The SPD (central left) and the Green party got about 20odd and 8 percent respectively and so are nowhere near able to form a coalition and take over government as they were planning to
and the Die Linke (far left) has somewhere around 8 percent but nobody wants to do anything with them because they have wacky fun ideas like making all the banks public and dissolving the NATO
…also a new party that may or may not be nazis but definitely want to end the EURO got nearly 5% and that’s freaking everybody out.
….so yeah…coulda gone better
