As someone struggling with self-harm this makes me really sad. And some of the comments ask why people are laughing. It’s because people laugh when they relate to a controversial or potentially traumatic topic. We did a play about abuse at my high school and during the school teaser performance people were laughing during the really violent parts. So the fact that he’s able to come out say it, even if it wasn’t in the context of depression, and that amount of people reacted the way they did really breaks my heart.
