Indigenous people of Brazil trying to prevent their eviction from an old indigenous museum which they have been living in for the past 7 years.

On March 22nd all of the inhabitants and their supporters were forcibly removed or arrested.

The building is being destroyed to make a parking lot

…for the Olympics.

Fuck the Olympics. 

what’s happening in Brazil is incredibly important and more people need to know about it. I only know what I’ve seen on tumblr so far, but it is abundantly clear that something is very wrong with the way the Brazilian government is treating its people. the word needs to get out and the government needs to be held responsible for its actions. but god forbid it interfere with the Olympics. and god forbid they put this story on CNN. 

the revolution will not be televised. the media is not an ally. keep fighting for what’s right, Brazil, and we will keep sharing your story. 

There are real people under your entertainment. Remember them. Fight for them.
